Membership & ANI Guidelines

Membership Renewal

  • Due Date: January 1st annually.
  • Grace Period: Membership must be renewed by January 31st.
  • Communication Access:
    • Members gain access to the club Runners and Info-Only WhatsApp groups.
    • Members who have not renewed by January 31st will be removed from all club communication forums.
    • New members that join during the year will be added to the communication channels within 7 days of registering and payment received.

Membership Benefits

  • Two in-person coached sessions per week.
  • Weekly training plans.
  • Group speed & recovery mile sessions.
  • Subsidised kit.
  • Subsidised social events.
  • Subsidised track.

Autumn Membership:

  • Discounted rates available from September 1st for new joiners.

Athletics NI Registration (Optional)

  • The club subsidises the ANI fee. The subsidy will be set by the committee on an annual basis, once Athletics NI issues the yearly rate.
  • Senior Athletes:
    • Senior members contribute towards the cost of their Athletics NI (ANI) registration.
  • Junior Athletes:
    • The club covers the full cost of ANI registration for junior members.

Criteria for Membership

  • Exclusive Club Affiliation:
    • Members must be affiliated solely with Omagh Harriers A.C.
  • Commitment to Training and Events:
    • Members should actively participate in training sessions and represent the club in competitions and activities.
  • Adherence to Club Policies:
    • Members must follow the club’s rules and code of conduct, fostering a respectful and positive environment.
  • Participation in Club Activities:
    • Members are encouraged to contribute to the club’s community through volunteering or supporting club-organized events.
  • Timely Payment of Membership Fees:
    • Members must ensure their fees are paid promptly to maintain active membership.

Membership Trial

  • Potential new members can avail of a maximum of three sessions in a 30-day period, paying £2.00 per session (or the prevailing rate the same as members). On or before the third session, the potential new member must decide if they wish to join the Club via Klubfunder.
